Our Lady of the Courts

Albacete, Spain (1222)

On May 1, 1222, shepherd \Francisco Alvarez was in the mountains of Cortes herding a flock of sheep which began to stir when a hight like lightning passed over the oak.

A beautiful fragrance surround him and angelic music was heard as an  image of Our Lady of Courts appeared, which he took to San Ignacio. The next  morning the picture was gone. He returned to the  oak and found the image of  the Lady surrounded by a  glowing and beautiful cloud.

Our Lady had asked him to  build a temple where God's mercy and miracles would be shown. As a testimony to  the truth of the events, his arm crippled from birth was healed.
