Blessed Virgin of Grace

Salzano, Italy (1534)

On April 14, 1534, a miracle occurred at Robegano.

Constantina, a crippled girl, was healed while praying in  front of a fourteenth century icon, then on display in a chapel near the church.

On the following September 13th, the construction of a  new parish sanctuary began to house the sacred image.

The project was completed on March 24, 1603 and later in1611, Robegano became an autonomous parish.

It was consecrated on September 12, 1707 by Joseph Mary Bottari, Bishop of Pola.

On the sidewalls are two paintings by the Viennese  architect Ludwig Mayer from 1896-7 that depict the  miracle of Constantina, in prayer before the image of Our Lady, and walking without the use of crutches.
