Gospel of Peace
The Essene Gospel of Peace
Following a lecture by Marcel Messing for the Inzicht Foundation, I went in search of the text of this virtually unknown Gospel. I did not find it in the great book of Apocrypha, nor in the Nag Hammad scriptures. So I couldn't find out anything about the true origin of this text, but I still think it's worth sharing with you.
There will be no peace among the people
as long as there is no garden of brotherhood
is on earth.
Because how can there be peace
if every man is after his own advantage
And sells his soul into slavery?
You, child of light
unite with your brothers and sisters
and then go on a journey together
to teach the paths of the Law
to those who want to hear.
He who has found peace
with the brotherhood of men
made himself
as a co-worker of God.
Know this peace with your mind,
Long for this peace with your heart,
Fulfill this peace with your body.
Jesus
Description of the lecture: The Essene Gospel is a true diamond and contains countless aspects of wisdom and insight that have been given to us by Jesus to fulfill our destiny in life. However, the Vatican has always done its utmost not to react to the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls in the desert of Judah (1947), just as the discovery of the scrolls in Nag Hammadi (1945) was kept secret by the church. What was the Essene brotherhood and sisterhood? Was there a relationship with Jesus? What did the Essenes teach? In the Essene Gospels we find many beautiful sayings of Jesus that are not found in the four Gospels (the canon). In these Essene texts, particular emphasis is placed on the role of Jesus as a great healer who, like a master, teaches the cosmic laws, explains the meaning of the elements and the angels, emphasizes the influence of proper nutrition and above all points out how we can keep our inner peace. Some of the wisdom Jesus taught goes back to the ancient universal wisdom that has been taught to mankind over and over again by great masters, sages and teachers. Especially for our time of great planetary transitions and climatic changes, certain texts are of intense importance.
Chapter 1
And then many sick and lame came to Jesus and asked him: 'If you know everything, tell us, why do we suffer these horrible burdens? Why are we not whole like other people? Master, heal us that we too may become strong and no longer have to face these trials. We know that you have it in your power to heal all kinds of ailments. Deliver us from Satan and from all his great torments. Master, have pity on us.
And Jesus answered, "Blessed are you because you hunger for truth, for I will feed you with the bread of wisdom. Happy are you because you knock, for I will open the gate of life for you. Happy are you that you will cast away the power of Satan, for I will lead you into the kingdom of our Mother's angels, where the power of Satan cannot enter.”
And they asked him in amazement, 'Who is our Mother and who are her angels? And where is her kingdom?”
“Your Mother is in you and you are in her. She carried you and gave you life. It was she who gave you the body, and to her you will one day return it. Happy are you when you get to know her and her kingdom; when you receive her angels and keep her laws. I tell you truthfully, the one who acts thus will never know sickness. For the strength of our Mother is greater than all. And she destroys Satan and his kingdom and governs all your bodies and all living things.
The blood that flows through us is born of the blood of our Mother Earth. Her blood falls from the clouds; leaps from the womb of the earth; ripples in the mountain streams; flows broadly in the rivers on the plain; storms mightily into the stormy sea.
The air we breathe is born from the breast of our Mother Earth. Her breath is the sky blue in the heights of the heavens; the hissing in the tops of the mountains; the whisper in the leaves of the forests; the swell of the cornfields; the slumber in deep valleys, the burning in the desert.
The hardness of your bones is born from the bones of our Mother Earth, from the rocks and from the stones. They stand naked on the tops of the mountains; are like giants sleeping on the slopes of the mountains, are like bells placed in deserts, and are hidden in the depths of the earth.
The tenderness of our flesh is born of the flesh of our Mother Earth; whose flesh grows yellow and red in the fruits of the trees and nourishes us in from the plowed fields.
Our entrails are born from the entrails of our Mother Earth and are hidden from our eyes like the invisible depths of the earth.
The light in our eyes, the hearing in our ears, both are born of the colors and sounds of our Mother Earth; which embraces us as the water of the sea embraces a fish, as the whirling air holds a bird.
Verily, I tell you, Man is the Son of Mother Earth, and from her the Son of Man received his whole body, just as a newborn baby is born from his mother's womb. Verily, I tell you, you are one with the Earthly Mother; she is in you and you are in her. From her you were born, into her life you, and to her you will return. Therefore keep her laws, for no one can live long nor remain happy, but only he who honors Mother Earth and keeps her laws. For thy breath is her breath; your blood is her blood; your flesh is her flesh; your entrails are her entrails; your eyes and your ears are her eyes and her ears.
Verily, I tell you, if you should fail to keep any of these laws, harm just one of all your body parts, then you will be utterly lost in your terrible diseases, and will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. I tell you, unless you follow the laws of your Mother there is no way you can escape death. And he who clings to the laws of his Mother will also be held by her. She will heal all his afflictions and he will never get sick.
She gives him a long life and protects him from all evil; of fire, of water, of the bite of poisonous snakes. For your Mother gave birth to you, keeps life in you.
She has given you her body and there is none that she does not heal. Happy is he who loves his Mother and lies peacefully at her breast. For your Mother loves you even when you turn away from her. And how much more will she love you when you turn back to her? Verily, I tell you, very great is her love, greater than the greatest of mountains, deeper than the deepest sea.
And those who love their Mother are never abandoned by her. As the hen protects her chicks, the lioness her cubs, as the mother protects her newborn baby, so Mother Earth protects the Son of Man from all danger and evil.
Verily, I tell you, untold misfortunes and perils lie in wait for the Sons of Man. Beelzebub, the prince of all devils, stands guard in the body of all the Sons of Man. He is Death, the lord of all evil, and as he disguises himself under an attractive robe he seduces and entices the Sons of Man.
Riches he promises, and might, and splendid palaces, and robes of gold and silver, and a multitude of servants, all these; he promises fame and glory, adultery and lust, gluttony and revelry in wine, debauched life and languid and slack days.
And he seduces everyone by that which his heart is most attracted to.
And on the day when the Sons of Man have already become slaves to all these vanities and atrocities, then, in payment for them, he seizes all the gifts that the Sons of Man received so abundantly from Mother Earth.
He steals from them their breath, their blood, their bones, their flesh, their entrails, their eyes and their ears. And the breath of the Son of Man becomes short and choked, full of pain and foul-smelling, like the breath of unclean animals. And his blood becomes thick and foul-smelling, like the water of a swamp; it clumps and turns black, like the night of the dead. And his bones grow hard and knobbly; they melt from within and shatter, like a stone falling on a rock. And his flesh becomes fat and watery; it rots and festers, with disgusting scabs and pustules.
And his bowels are filled with vile filth, with drabby streams of corruption; and multitudes of loathsome worms dwell there.
And his eyes darken, till the night shrouds them, and his ears are clogged, like the silence of the grave. And at last the erring Son of Man will lose his life. For he did not keep the laws of his Mother and he piled sin upon sin.
Therefore, all the gifts of his Mother are taken from him: breath, blood, bones, flesh, entrails, eyes and ears and after all this, the life with which Mother Earth crowned his body.
But when the erring Son of Man regrets and undoes his sins, and returns to his Earthly Mother; and if he keeps the laws of Mother Earth and frees himself from Satan's clutches, and resists his temptations, Mother Earth receives her erring son with love and sends him angels to minister to him.
Verily, I tell you, when the Son of Man opposes Satan who dwells in him and does not do his will, in the same hour his Mother's angels are found there, that they may serve him with all their strength and completely deliver the Son of Man from the power of Satan.
For no one can serve two masters. For either he serves Beelzebub and his devils, or he serves Mother Earth and her angels. Either he serves death or he serves life.
So verily I tell you, happy are those who keep the laws of life and who do not walk in the paths of death. For in them the powers of life grow strong and they escape the ravages of death.”
And all who were with him listened with astonishment to his words, for he spoke with power and thought very differently from the priests and the scribes.
And though the sun had now set, they did not go to their homes. They sat around Jesus and asked him:
"Master, what are these laws of life? Stay with us a little longer and instruct us. We would listen to your teachings that we may be healed and become virtuous."
And Jesus Himself sat in their midst and said: “Truly I tell you, no one can be happy except when he keeps the Law.”
And the others answered, "We all keep the law of Moses our lawgiver, just as they are written in the holy scriptures."
And Jesus answered, "Do not seek the law in your writings, for the law is life, while the writings are dead. Truly I say to you, Moses did not receive his law from God in writings, but by the living word. The law is the living word of God, to living prophets to living men. In all living things is the law written. You will find it in the grass, in the tree, in the river, in the mountain, in the birds of the air, in the fish of the sea, but above all seek it in yourselves, for verily I say unto you, all living things are nearer to God than the writings which are inanimate.
God made life and all living things so that, through the eternal word, they might teach man the laws of the true God. God did not write the laws on the pages of books, but in your hearts and minds. They are in your breath, your blood, your bones; in your flesh, your guts, your eyes, your ears, and in every part of your body. They are present in the air, in the water, in the earth, in the plants, in the rays of the sun, in the depths and in the heights. They all speak to you that you may understand the language and will of the living God. But you close your eyes so that you do not see, and you close your ears so that you do not hear. Verily, I say to you, that the scriptures are the work of man, but the life and all that lives is the work of our God.
Why don't you listen to the words of God written in His works? And why do you study the dead writings that are the work of human hands?”
“How can we read the laws of God but in the scriptures? Where are they written? Read them to us where you see them, for we know nothing but the scriptures that we have inherited from our forefathers. Teach us the laws about which you speak that, when we hear them, we may be healed and set free from guilt.”
Jesus said, "You do not understand the living words because you dwell in death. Darkness darkens your eyes, and your ears are clogged with deafness. For I tell you, it is of no use to you that you meditate on dead scriptures, if by your deeds you denies him who gave you the scriptures.
Verily, I tell you, God and his laws are not in what you do. They are not in gluttony and in devouring wine, nor in lavish living, nor in lust, nor in amassing riches, nor even in hating your enemies. For all these things are far from the true God and his angels. But all these things come from the kingdom of darkness and from the lord of all evil. And all these things you carry within yourselves and thus the word of God cannot enter you because all kinds of evil and all kinds of abominations reside in your body and mind. If you want the living God's word and its power to enter you, do not defile your body and mind; for the body is the temple of the spirit; and the spirit is the temple of God. Therefore purify the temple, that the Lord of the temple may dwell therein and possess a place worthy of him.
And from all the temptations of your body and mind, coming from Satan, withdraw into the shadow of God's heaven.
Renew yourself, and fast. For verily, I tell you, Satan and his afflictions can only be cast out by fasting and by prayer. Go indoors and fast alone, don't let anyone see your fast. The living God will see it and your reward will be great. And fast until Beelzebub and all his evil depart from you, and until all the angels of Mother Earth come to you to serve you. For verily I tell you, unless you fast you will not be delivered from the powers of Satan and from all the ills that come from Satan. Fast and pray fervently, seeking the power of the living God for your healing.
While fasting, avoid the company of the Sons of Man and seek the angels of Mother Earth, for whoever seeks will find.
Seek the fresh air of the woods and the fields, and there in the middle you will find the angel of the sky. Take off your shoes and clothes and beg the angel of the sky to embrace your whole body. Then take a long and deep breath, so that the angel of the air may be brought within you. Verily, I tell you, the angel of the air will remove from your body every impurity he finds, within and without.
And so shall all that is foul-smelling and unclean arise out of you, as the smoke of a fire spirals upward and vanishes into the sea of the air. For verily I say unto you, holy is the angel of the air, who purifies all that is unclean, and makes all that is foul-smelling odorous. No one comes before the face of God because the angel of the sky has not allowed passage. Truly, all must be born again through air and through truth, for your body breathes the air of Mother Earth and your mind breathes the truth of the Heavenly Father.
"After the angel of the air, look for the angel of the water. Take off your shoes and clothes and beg the angel of the water to embrace your whole body. Immerse yourself completely in his embracing arms and as often as you open the air move by your breath, move the water with your body as often. Verily, I say to you, the angel of the water will cleanse your body of all the impurities that defiled it, both within and without. And all unclean and foul-smelling things will flow out of you, just as the filthiness of garments that are washed in the water will flow and be lost in the stream of the river.
Verily, I say to you, holy is the angel of water, who purifies all that is unclean, and who makes all foul-smelling things fragrant.
No man may appear before the face of God who does not grant passage to the angel of the water. Verily, everyone must be reborn of water and of truth, for the body is bathed in the river of earthly life and our spirit is bathed in the river of eternal life. For you receive your blood from our Mother Earth and the truth from our Heavenly Father.
Do not think that it is enough for the angel of the water to embrace you only outwardly. Verily, I tell you, in many the inner uncleanness is greater than that of the outer. And he who purifies himself outwardly, but remains unclean inwardly, is like a tomb that is beautifully painted on the outside, but inside is filled with all manner of abominable and disgusting things. Therefore I say to you: Beg the angel of the waters to baptize you also inwardly, that you may be cleansed from all your past sins, and that you may become as pure within as the foam of the rivers that plays in the water. sunlight.
To do this, find a large floating gourd that has a stalk the length of a man, take out the inside, and then fill it with water from the river heated by the sun. Hang it from the branch of a tree, and kneel on the ground in front of the angel of water so that the end of the gourd stem can enter into your rear opening so that the water can wash through all your entrails.
Then kneel on the ground before the angel of the water, and pray to the living God that he may forgive all your past sins, and pray to the angel of the water that he may cleanse your body from every uncleanness and disease. . Then let the water flow out of your body, that it may carry away from within you all that is unclean and all the foul-smelling things of Satan. And you will be able to see with your eyes and smell with your nose: all the disgusting things and all the impurities that polluted the temple of your body, meanwhile tormenting you with all kinds of pain. Verily, I say to you, baptizing with water releases you from this. Resume your baptisms with water every day of your fast, until you see that the water that flows from you is as pure as the foam of the river.
Then go with your body into the flowing river, and there, in the arms of the angel of the water, give thanks to the living God for having delivered you from your sins. And this holy baptism by the angel of water is: Rebirth to a new life. For from now on your eyes will see and your ears will hear. Therefore, after your baptism, sin no more, that the angels of the air and of the water may dwell in you forever and serve you forever.
And if afterward some of your old sins and uncleanness still remain in you, seek the angel of the sunlight. Take off your shoes and robes and beg the angel of the sunlight to embrace your whole body. Then breathe long and deeply that the angel of sunlight may be brought into you.
And the angel of sunlight will remove from your body all foul-smelling and unclean things, both outside and inside. And all unclean and foul-smelling things shall depart from you, just as the darkness of the night fades with the brilliance of the rising dawn. Verily I say unto you, holy is the angel of the sunlight, who purifies every uncleanness and who sweetens all foul-smelling things. No one will come before God who is not passed over by the angel of sunlight. Verily, each must be born again of sun and truth, for your body basks in the sunlight of Mother Earth, and your mind basks in the sunlight of truth from the Heavenly Father.
The angels of the sky and the water and of the sunlight are brothers. They are given to the Son of Man to serve him, and that he may always go from one to another.
Their embrace is sacred too. They are inseparable children of Mother Earth, so do not separate those who have united earth and heaven. Let these three angelic brothers embrace you every day and let them dwell with you every day of your fast.
For verily I say unto you, the powers of the devils, all sins and impurities shall depart quickly from a body embraced by these three angels. As thieves flee from an abandoned house when the master of the house comes home, one by the door, the other by the window, and a third by the roof, each where he was and where it is possible, so also all put to flight all the devils of evil, all the sins of the past and all the impurities that defiled the temple of your body.
When the angels of Mother Earth enter your body in such a way that the lords of the temple can repossess it, then all the bad odors will leave your breath and skin in great haste, putrid liquids through your mouth and skin, through your rear and private parts. And all this you will be able to see with your eyes and smell with your nose and touch with your hands.
And when all the sins and impurities are expelled from your bodies, then your blood will become as pure as the blood of Mother Earth and like the foam of the river it will play in the sunlight. And your breath will become as pure as the breath of fragrant flowers; your flesh as pure as the flesh of the ruddy fruits among the leaves of the trees; the light of your eyes will be as brilliant and bright as the brilliance of the sun shining in a blue sky. And then all the angels of Mother Earth will serve you. And your breath, your blood, your flesh will be one with the breath, blood and flesh of the Earthly Mother, so that your spirit too may become one with the spirit of your Heavenly Father.
For verily, none can come to the Heavenly Father except through the Earthly Mother. Just as no newborn baby can understand its father's teachings until it has been nursed, bathed, nursed, put to bed and fed by its mother. When the baby is still small, its place is with the mother and it must obey its mother.
When the child is grown, his father takes him to the fields to work by his side, and the child returns to his mother only when it is time to eat.
And now the father instructs him that he may become proficient in the work of his father. And when the father sees that his son understands his lessons and does his work well, then he gives him all his possessions that they may belong to his beloved son, and that the son may continue his father's work.
Truly, I tell you, happy is the son who takes his mother's advice and keeps it. And a hundred times happier is the son who takes his father's advice and keeps it, for it has been said to you: "Honor your father and mother, that your days on earth may be long."
But I tell you, Sons of Man: “First your Mother Earth and keep all her laws, that your days on earth may be long, and first your Heavenly Father that Eternal Life in the heavens may be yours.” For the Heavenly Father is a hundred times greater than all fathers by semen and by blood, and greater is Mother Earth than all mothers by body.
And more beloved is the Son of Man in the eyes of his Heavenly Father and of his Mother Earth than children are loved in the eyes of their fathers by the seed and the blood and their corporeal mothers. And wiser are the words and laws of your Heavenly Father and your Earthly Mother than the words and will of all fathers through the seed and blood and of the mothers through the body. And of greater worth is also the inheritance of your Heavenly Father and of your Earthly Mother, the eternal kingdom of earthly and heavenly life, than all the inheritances of your fathers through the seed and blood and of your corporeal mothers.
And your true brothers are those who do the will of the Heavenly Father and of Mother Earth, and not those who are your brothers through the blood. Verily I say to you, that your true brothers in the will of the Heavenly Father and of Mother Earth will love you a thousand times more than your blood brothers. For since the days of Cain and Abel, where brethren have transgressed the will of God, there is no more blood brotherhood. And brothers behave to brothers as they do to strangers. Therefore I say to you, love your brothers in God a thousand times more than your blood brothers.
FOR YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER IS LOVE.
FOR YOUR EARTHLY MOTHER IS LOVE.
FOR THE SON OF MAN IS LOVE.
It is through Love that the Heavenly Father and Mother Earth and the Son of Man become one. For the spirit of the Son of man was created from the spirit of the Heavenly Father and his body from the body of Mother Earth.
Be, therefore, perfect as your Heavenly Father's mind and Mother Earth's body are perfect.
And love your Heavenly Father as he loves your spirit
And love your Earthly Mother as she loves your body.
And love your true brothers as your Heavenly Father and Mother Earth love them. And then your Heavenly Father will give you His holy spirit and Mother Earth will give you her holy body. And then the Sons of Man, as true brothers will give love to each other, love they have received from their Heavenly Father and from their Earthly Mother; and they shall be comforters to one another.
And then all evil and cares will disappear from the earth, and there will be love and joy on earth. And then the earth will be like the heavens and the kingdom of God will come. And then the Son of Man will come in all his glory to inherit the kingdom of God. And then the Sons of Man will divide their sacred inheritance. For the Sons of Man live in the Heavenly Father and in Mother Earth and they live in them. And then, with the kingdom of God, the end of time will come. For the love of the Heavenly Father gives to all eternal life in the kingdom of God. for love is eternal. Love is stronger than death.
"Though I speak the language of men or of angels, but have no love, I am a resounding musical instrument or a tinkling cymbal. Though I could prophesy and know all secrets and all knowledge; Though I had the strength like a storm who moved mountains from their place, but I had no love, then I am nothing.
And though I gave all my possessions to feed the poor and gave all the fire that my Father gave me, but I had no love, it was of no use to me. Love is patient, love is lovable. Love is not jealous, does no harm, is neither rude nor selfish; it is not easily angered, causes no misery, does not delight in injustice, but delights in justice. Love protects all, love believes all, love hopes all, love tolerates all; without ever exhausting itself. But our speech will one day fall silent and our knowledge will cease to exist.
For we have only half truths and half errors, but when the fullness of perfection has come, all that was but part will be blotted out. When man was a child he spoke like a child, he understood like a child, he thought like a child, but when he became a man he put away his childish things. For now we still see the truth through glass and through dark sayings. Now we know in parts, but when we come before the face of God we will no longer know in parts but as we are thought by him. And now, remember these three: faith and hope and love; but the greatest of these is love.
And now I speak to you in the living language of the living God, through the holy spirit of our Heavenly Father. There is none of you as yet who can understand all that I am telling you. He who explains the scriptures to you speaks to you in a dead language of dead men, through his sick and mortal body. Therefore everyone can understand Him because all people are sick and doomed. No one sees the light of life! One blind leads another down the dark paths of sin, sickness, and suffering; and at last they all fall into the pit of death.
I have been sent to you by the Father to let the light of life shine for you. The light illumines itself and the darkness, but the darkness only knows itself and does not know the light.
I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them yet. For your eyes are still accustomed to the darkness, and the full light of the Heavenly Father would now blind you. Therefore you cannot yet understand what I say to you about the Heavenly Father who sent me to you. Therefore, first of all, live exclusively according to the laws of your Mother Earth, about which I have told you. And after her angels have cleansed and renewed your body, and strengthened your eyes, only then will you be able to endure the light of our Heavenly Father. When you can look into the full sun at noon without blinking, you can behold the dazzling light of your Heavenly Father, which is a thousand times brighter than the light of a thousand suns.
But how could you behold the dazzling light of your Heavenly Father until you can even bear the full sunlight? Believe me, this is but a candle flame compared to the Heavenly Father's sun of truth. But therefore have faith, hope and love. Verily I say unto thee, thou shalt not covet thy reward. When you believe my words, you believe in Him who sent me, who is the Lord of all and with whom all things are possible.
For what is impossible with man, all these things are possible with God! When you believe in the angels of Mother Earth and obey her laws, then your faith will sustain you and you will never know sickness. Draw hope also from your Heavenly Father's love for whoever trusts in him will never be deceived, nor will he ever have to face death.
Love one another for God is love and so his angels will know that you walk in his paths. And then all the angels will appear before you and serve you. And Satan with all his sins, diseases and impurities will leave your body.
Go, avoid your sins; repent; baptize yourself that you may be born again and that you may sin no more.”
Then Jesus arose. But all remained seated, for each felt the power of his words.
And then the full moon appeared among the parting clouds and enveloped Jesus with light.
And sparks flew up from his hair and he stood between them, in the moonlight, as if he were floating in the air. And no one moved, nor was anyone's voice heard. And no one knew how much time had passed, for time had stood still.
Then Jesus stretched out his hands to them and said, "Peace be with you." And so he departed, as a breath of wind makes the green of the branches sway.
And for quite some time they sat still, and then they awoke in the silence, one after the other, as if from a long dream. But no one made any move to leave, as if the words of him who had just left them were still ringing in their ears. And they all set there as if they were listening to wonderful music.
But at last one of them, somewhat shyly, said, "How good it is to be here," and another said, "If only this night lasted forever," and another said, "If only he were always with us."
“He is indeed the messenger of God, for he has planted hope in our hearts.” And no one would go home, and they said, "I am not going home, where all is gloomy and joyless. Why should we go home where no one loves us?”
And thus they spoke, for nearly all were poor, lame, blind, maimed, beggars, and homeless, despised for their misery, who were tolerated only out of pity in the houses where they found shelter for a few days. Even some who had both a home and a family said, "We also abide with you." For each of them felt that the words of him who had gone had encircled the little company with invisible threads And all felt themselves reborn. They saw the world glittering before their eyes, even when the moon hid behind the clouds. And in all hearts bloomed wonderful flowers of wonderful beauty: the flowers of joy.
And when the first bright rays of the sun shone on the horizon, they all felt that it was the sun of the kingdom of God. And with joy in their countenances they went to meet God's angels.
